The Akwesasne Mohawk Police (AMPS) are investigating a shooting at a residence on Iohahiio Road, in Akwesasne, Quebec, that occurred at 7:17pm on March 31st.
According to an AMPS press release, one person was injured and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment but was later released.
The Sûreté du Québec forensic identification unit was called and processed the crime scene.
Police say they have two individuals in custody. AMPS is reiterating that there is no risk to the general public.
No further information can be released at this time, as the investigation is still ongoing.
